Electronics, textiles, chemicals, clothing, good processing, plywood, sugar milling, cement, shipbuilding, petroleum refining.

Extensive infrastructure system. 2 international airports, 14 domestic airports, 5 international harbours, toll highways, round-the-island railway. Traffic congestion on public roads and freeways are common.
